Ordering Tips from Alexa Maries Sweets On Streets

Order Early

Custom work takes planning. We recommend reaching out 2–3 weeks before your event, and even earlier for tiered cakes, dessert tables and busy seasons like graduations and the holidays. Last-minute? Ask anyway; we’ll do our best.

Share Your Vision

The more we know, the better your treats will be. Include:

  • Your event date and number of guests
  • Theme, colors and inspiration photos
  • Favorite flavors and anything you don’t like
  • Any allergies beyond gluten

Travel Like a Pro

Carry boxes flat and level, never on a lap or a seat. The floor or a flat trunk is best. Keep the car cool with the AC on, drive gently around corners, and head straight to your event.

Mind the Heat

Buttercream and summer don’t mix. Keep cakes and cupcakes out of direct sun and away from warm windows, and save outdoor display for right before serving.

Serve at Room Temp

If your cake has been refrigerated, let it sit out for 1–2 hours before serving. Gluten free cake is at its softest and most flavorful at room temperature, and buttercream gets silky again.

Store Leftovers Right

Gluten free bakes dry out faster than traditional ones, so wrap cut edges or store slices in an airtight container. Refrigerate leftovers and enjoy within 3–4 days, or freeze slices well wrapped for up to a month.
